      Backgorund:

      In NexaVM NexaSphere, replacing or reassigning an existing nSDS Image Cache Pool directly through the Web UI is not supported. To assign the Image Cache role to another pool, the CephPrimaryStoragePoolVO table record in MariaDB must be updated and the corresponding SystemTag re-applied.

      Step 1: From the management node locate pool information in the Database

      mysql -u root -p
      use zstack;
      SELECT uuid, poolName, aliasName, type FROM CephPrimaryStoragePoolVO;
      SELECT * FROM ResourceVO WHERE concreteResourceType = 'org.zstack.storage.ceph.primary.CephPrimaryStoragePoolVO';

      Target Values Identified:
      Current ImageCache Row UUID
      Target Pool Name

      Step 2: Update CephPrimaryStoragePoolVO Database Record
      Run the following SQL statement in MariaDB to assign the ImageCache record to the target pool:

      UPDATE CephPrimaryStoragePoolVO
      SET poolName = "<pool-name>",
          aliasName = "<alias-name>"
      WHERE uuid = "<uuid>";

      Step 3: Retrieve and Update the SystemTag

      • Find the SystemTag UUID associated with the image cache pool:
      SELECT uuid, tag FROM SystemTagVO WHERE tag LIKE '%imageCachePoolName%';

      • Update the SystemTag using the NexaVM CLI (replace <SYSTEM_TAG_UUID> with the UUID retrieved in the previous step):
      UpdateSystemTag uuid=<SYSTEM_TAG_UUID> tag='ceph::default::imageCachePoolName::pool-3059cde8dd3a4778b110fbeabe3eb0d0'

      Step 4: Restart Management Services

      zsha2 stop-node && zsha2 start-node
